DC Brau Barrel Aged Penn Quarter Porter Tasting Tonight at Dupont

DC Brau Barrel Aged Penn Quarter PorterTonight is our turn at the DC Brau Penn Quarter Porter tasting (aged for six months in charred-oak barrels that once held whiskey from Virginia’s Catoctin Creek distillery). Both DC Brau owners will be in attendance.

“There’s a huge oak character that comes through,” DC Brau co-founder Brandon Skall says proudly. “We want people to taste what a real big oak-aged beer tastes like.” There’s also a bit of the bourbon flavor — “You get a lot of vanilla from the whiskey” he explains — that should pair perfectly with the porter’s dry, roasted body.

Try it alongside other DC Brau favorites: Public, Citizen, Penn Quarter Porter (regular), and the new Double IPA, On the Wings of Armageddon. Plus special DC-inspired Presidential Pizza, tonight from 5pm to close.
