Farewell to Georgetown

After 23 incredible years, Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown closed its doors on M Street. The final day was Sunday July 26th, when we hosted an open-door farewell celebration. Ruth Gresser (Founder/Owner) and Carlos Delgado Gonzalez (Managing Partner) were present to offer a complimentary farewell toast for all guests.

Since opening in 2002, this location has served as a true Georgetown anchor. We have so much to be proud of as we look back on nearly a quarter-century of memories:

• A Culinary Staple: We brought wood-fired pizza and an industry-leading craft beer program to the heart of the neighborhood.

• Unique Spaces: We created community through the beloved Birreria Paradiso downstairs and the Paradiso Game Room.

• Resilience: Together, we outlasted shifting industry trends and survived the immense challenges of a global pandemic.

• Community Impact: Most importantly, we have served generations of Georgetown residents, students, and visitors who made our pizzeria a part of their lives.

The closing is a farewell story. It's also a celebration story: the celebration of a brand that continues to grow, with new Virginia locations and a future that honors everything Georgetown built.
