Calling all Homebrewers!! Pizzeria Paradiso & our friends at the DC Homebrewers Club are pleased to present the 2nd Annual Pizzeria Paradiso Homebrew Competition! More details at on entry requirements below. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place- the winning homebrewer will have the opportunity to work with DC Brau on scaling up their recipe to be poured on draft across all five Pizzeria Paradiso locations!

The Homebrew Competition will take place on April 25th, conducted by a panel of judges behind closed doors in the Georgetown Game Room. After the judging panel has completed their tasting we will open the doors to the public for a sampling of some of the homebrew selections.

Requirements for homebrew entries:

  • Style Restricted to: West Coast IPA  (ABV no lower than 4.0% and no higher than 7.0%)

  • Allowed HOPS: Amarillo, Azacca, Centennial, Chinook, Citra, Columbus, Comet, Copper, EKG, Hallertau Tradition, Falconers Flight, Mosaic, Simcoe, US Saaz, Veterans Blend, Willamette, Bravo, Cascade, El Dorado, Idaho 7, Meridian, Strata, Calypso, Mandarina Bavaria 

  • NO wild yeast. 

  • Beer name must follow the Brewers Association’s guidelines outlined in the Marketing & Advertising Code

  • Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place entries! As well as an award for best name!

  • 1st place entry will work with DC Brau on scaling up their recipe to be poured on draft across the Paradiso locations!

  • Winners will be chosen based on a judges panel determined by DC Brau and Pizzeria Paradiso

  • Entries must be submitted to a Paradiso location on or before April 24th 

  • Entries can be dropped off at any Paradiso location Please include a label with: name, email, beer name, and any information on the beer (ABV, hops used, etc.)

    • Once you have dropped off your entry please fill out the form found at eatyourpizza.com with all information.  

  • Please submit between 32-64oz to be judged
